Guangdong Maoming Series Ep. 10: Spore journey

CGTN

05:26

This toothed clubmoss is less than 10 cm tall, despite having grown for nearly three years. The damp woodlands can't restrain its thirst for life. Its leaves grow upward tier upon tier like a pagoda, hence its figurative Chinese moniker "thousand-story pagoda." Reproduction is the top priority for the toothed clubmoss population. To grow from a tiny yellow spore into a visible plant may take up to 20 years. In the seemingly peaceful woods, the journey of the spores is silently underway. Check out this video!
