Chinese President Xi Jinping has regularly stressed the importance of developing elderly care services, so that all people can enjoy care, support, happiness and peace in old age. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the country has put in place new measures to respond to the aging population, promoted practical solutions in terms of elderly care, health, spiritual and cultural life, and social participation, and strove to meet people's expectations for life in old age.

Shanghai has the largest aging population in China. In this video, Colombian vlogger Fernando Munoz Bernal travels to Yinhang Street in the metropolis' Yangpu District to learn more about the various services that the community provides for the elderly. From a "Time Station cafe" for seniors suffering from cognitive decline to an orchestra that provides free classes and venues, the wonderful activities offer opportunities for everyone to enrich their life. The orchestra's Zhu Changming said, "We're enjoying a life with care, support and happiness."
