In spring, the western slope of Fanjing Mountain in Tongren, Guizhou, is adorned with over 60 varieties of wild azaleas. The blooming azaleas stretch for kilometers along the mountain range, swaying gently in the breeze and casting a spellbinding sight. As the flowers enter their peak blooming period in April, shades of pink, red and purple intertwine to create a vibrant tapestry. Tourists and photography enthusiasts flock to the area to immerse themselves in the splendor of spring.
Since Fanjing Mountain was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2018, efforts to protect the surrounding flora and fauna have been intensified. The burgeoning flowers have also boosted the local economy and tourism.
