As this month brings Labor Day and China's Youth Day, CGTN invited youths from five countries – Poland, Russia, China, Armenia and Belarus – to talk about their expectations for their future careers.

China celebrates Youth Day every May 4. It was established to honor the patriotic and anti-imperialist "May Fourth Movement" that began on May 4, 1919, when a group of Chinese students protested the weak diplomatic response of the then Chinese government to the Treaty of Versailles, marking the beginning of China's new democratic revolution. Mian Xukun is a first-year student at the Communication University of Zhejiang, majoring in bilingual broadcasting. She believes Youth Day motivates young people's passion to challenge the world. No matter which country one comes from or what subject one majors in, the young should work together and contribute strength to build a better world. In terms of future career aspirations, she dreams of becoming an excellent bilingual journalist in the near future, using fluent Chinese and English to show the world the real China.
