Elena Poliakova, a Russian assistant professor at the IÉSEG School of Management in France, recently visited China as part of the 2024 Future Close-Up program, a high-level youth exchange initiative hosted by the China International Communications Group Center for the Americas, the Hong Kong Federation of Liaoning Associations and Tencent. Poliakova spoke to CGTN's Enoch Wong about the necessity of experiencing China firsthand and its bearing on understanding the cultural differences between East and West.
