Fang Chao, a reporter from CGTN French channel, lived in France for 10 years. She made lots of good friends there and integrated into local life through badminton. She founded the French Chinese Badminton Association in Paris, hoping to provide a platform for communication and mutual assistance through the sport, and enhance China-France friendship. She also served as a liaison officer for the French Open badminton tournament for seven years, providing event services for the Chinese badminton team, and became friends with Olympic champions, other outstanding athletes and sports enthusiasts.

She started to learn badminton in 2008, the year of the Beijing Olympics. Sixteen years later, with the 2024 Olympics taking place in Paris, she believes that the power of sports can break down all barriers and bring people from different countries together. This is the spirit of sports and the spirit of the Olympics.
