Summer on the plateau: Bears and stray dogs 'fight' for food

The Tibetan blue bear, a top predator endemic to the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau, typically reigns supreme. Yet, in an unexpected twist, stray dogs sheltered by monks at a temple in Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, northwest China's Qinghai Province, have become the bears' formidable rivals. These fearless canines, undeterred by their giant counterparts, frequently clash with the bears over food scraps at the temple gate.
