A modern cinematic reinterpretation of a celebratory gala titled "Epic Journey" held in 2021 to mark the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC) will be released nationwide on October 16.
"We worked hard to reflect the magnificence of various art forms during the gala on the big screen, which fully exhibits the love and passion that the people have for the Party and the nation," said the film's general director Hou Keming.

General director of the gala Chen Weiya believed that the event would gain a broader platform for distribution and audience reach through the audiovisual language of cinema.
"Epic Journey" is the first large-scale 4K panoramic sound immersive film in China that integrates music, dance, drama and cinema. The film, which depicts the country's momentous transformation and great achievements under the leadership of the CPC, will open in theaters on October 16.
