Chinese humanitarian aid arrives in Beirut

00:44

A shipment of Chinese emergency medical aid arrived in Beirut, the Lebanese capital, on October 21, as the nation grapples with casualties from ongoing cross-border conflicts with Israel. The 60-tonne shipment consists of 3,601 boxes containing anesthesia machines, tracheal intubation tubes and surgical gowns. Earlier this month, the China International Development Cooperation Agency promised these emergency humanitarian supplies to Lebanon at the request of the Lebanese government amid escalating fighting between Lebanon and Israel.
