Established in 2001, the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) have enhanced political mutual trust, improved security cooperation, achieved fruitful outcomes in practical cooperation and fostered closer cultural and people-to-people exchanges after more than two decades of development. China assumed the rotating presidency of the SCO after the Astana Summit in July 2024. Centered on the theme of the "SCO Year of Sustainable Development" and guided by the slogan "Upholding the Shanghai Spirit: SCO on the Move," China will hold over 100 meetings and events, striving to host a friendly, united and fruitful SCO summit.
