CGTN

China expressed strong opposition to the U.S. government's ban on DeepSeek on Tuesday, following a Reuters report citing sources that the U.S. Department of Commerce had prohibited employees from using DeepSeek on government-issued devices.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning stated that China consistently opposes the overextension of the national security concept and the politicization of economic, trade and technological issues.

Mao added that China will firmly protect the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese enterprises.
