From the alleyways of Shanghai to the global stage of animation, director Li Wei has dedicated decades to his craft. Having shaped cinematic animation blockbusters like Big Fish & Begonia and Legend of Deification, his co-directed animated film, Edge of Time, earned a prestigious selection for the Golden Goblet Award at the 27th Shanghai International Film Festival.

Looking back on his journey, Li Wei offers a simple truth to fellow creators: Don't spend your life calculating every gain and loss. Some answers can only be found by walking the path yourself. Life is an experience to be lived, and perhaps true courage lies not in the certainty of success, but in the willingness to step boldly into the unknown.
