Zhang Jun, the current Minister of Justice, has been elected as the Procurator-General of the Supreme People's Procuratorate. Now let's have a closer look at his profile.
Zhang Jun was born in October 1956. He earned his doctorate in Law from Wuhan University.
He started working in the Supreme People's Court in 1985.
He had served as vice-president and a member of the judicial committee of the Supreme People's Court for over ten years. He was selected as deputy secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the CPC in 2012.
In 2017, Zhang was appointed as the Minister of Justice, and a member of the Political and Judiciary Commission under the Central Committee of the CPC.
