Francesco Sisci, former Italian journalist and diplomat, now senior researcher at Renmin University of China, spoke to CGTN about his views on the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, claiming that Italy and China could benefit not only in areas of trade, but also in areas of culture. In his opinion, Italy is the doorway that would allow China to better understand the western world.
