China urges dialogue in Qatar-Gulf diplomatic dispute

China urged the relevant parties involved in the Qatar-Gulf diplomatic crisis to solve it through dialogue and negotiation, said Foreign Ministry spokesperson Geng Shuang on Tuesday.
China supported the intermediate efforts made by Kuwait and other nations in maintaining peace and stability in the Gulf region, and believed the Arab countries can reach a consensus and find out the solution in solving this issue, Geng said.
Qatar on Monday delivered its official response to a list of demands by Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt to Kuwait, a mediator in the diplomatic rift.
The four countries abruptly suspended diplomatic relations and cut off land, sea and air travel to Qatar on June 5.
