Six people have been killed and three others are missing in heavy flooding in Yulin City, northwest China's Shaanxi Province, local authorities said on Thursday.
Severe weather has affected over 58,000 people and 70,000 have been forced to relocate.
Around 20 square kilometers of crop fields have been damaged, with direct economic losses estimated to exceed 34 million US dollars.
Power supplies, telecommunications and traffic have all been affected by torrential rain.
Rain is expected to continue in the region until Saturday. The Yellow River Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters has warned Shanxi, Henan and Shandong Provinces to prepare for flooding on the river.
