China's top political advisory body has been actively developing friendly ties with other countries, working hard to create a favorable external environment and advocating the building of a community with a shared future, Wang Yang, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) stressed on Sunday.
Wang made the remarks in his work report to more than 2,000 political advisers who have come to Beijing to brainstorm the country's major political, economic and social issues.
During the speech at the opening ceremony of the second session of the 13th CPPCC in Beijing, Wang noted that to better engage with foreign countries, the CPPCC for the first time hosted events for foreign diplomatic envoys to China to experience the event themselves in the year of 2018.
He added envoys from 41 African countries and representatives from the African Union (AU) were invited to visit the CPPCC National Committee and attend forums.
