China continues to push its anti-corruption campaign

Efforts should continue to be carried out to improve the political ecosystem of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Premier Li Keqiang said on Tuesday. The Party's key regulations, including the eight-point decision to improve Party and government conduct, need to the wholeheartedly implemented, he added.

Premier Li made the remarks at the Great Hall of the People when delivering the annual government work report. 

Those who are working in the government should accept supervision from the law, watchdogs, and the people, Li said, while emphasizing the absolute prohibition of formalism and bureaucracy of any kind.

He also stressed the importance of completely implementing law-based governance so as to put all governmental activities under the guidance of the law.

Whatever is carried out by the government should be the will of the people, Premier Li said.
