Ashish Ranjan, leader of Indian Army Military Band came to the festival for the first time. He said that they communicate in the language of music which is understood by all the musicians of all the eight different countries represented.
"I feel so happy that we come to China to attend the event and see each other so close,” said Saitjanov Baknityor, leader of Uzbekistan Military Band.
The opening of the fifth "Peace Horn – 2018" Military Tattoo Festival by SCO member states was held in Juyong Pass, Beijing, on Tuesday.
The first official performance was held after the opening of the festival. The national military orchestras of SCO member states showcased brilliant performances against the backdrop of the majestic mountains of Juyong Pass. They used military music, which transcends the language of the country, region and nation to perform a perfect artistic interpretation of the spirit of the SCO.
The festival was founded in 2014 and has become a cultural event of the SCO and a bridge linking the friendly sentiments of officers and soldiers of the SCO member states. Uzbekistan, India and Belarus participated in the show for the first time this year, bringing new opportunities and vitality to this event.
