China's top political advisory body has been endeavoring to improve the quality and efficiency of the process of making proposals over the past year, the chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Wang Yang, said on Sunday.
The advisory body's proposals have transformed from being quantity-oriented to quality-oriented, and shifted the focus of CPPCC work from "what has been done" and "how much has been done" to "what results have been produced," Wang said, in a report delivered at the opening of the second session of the 13th CPPCC in Beijing.
In order to improve the efficiency of the work of CPPCC members, the Standing Committee also launched a mobile app among members across all levels, Wang noted.
CPPCC members are able to deliberate their proposals and find information anywhere and at any time, he added.
A total of 16 discussions have been held on the platform with the participation of over 1,400 members who aired their voices over 4,000 times, according to the CPPCC spokesman Guo Weimin.
