Chinese President Xi Jinping on Thursday sent a message of condolences to Afghan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani after the massive bomb attack in the Afghan capital of Kabul in which at least 90 people were killed.

President Xi condemned the violence, saying China opposes all forms of terrorism.

China supports Afghanistan’s anti-terrorism efforts to safeguard security and stability, he added.

Premier Li Keqiang also extended his condolences to Afghan Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah, saying China, as always, firmly supports the efforts by the Afghan government to safeguard security and stability.

The powerful car bomb exploded on Wednesday in central Kabul, where several embassies, official institutions as well as the Presidential Palace are located, killing at least 90 people and injuring over 400 others.
