South Korean and US security advisers agreed in a phone call on Thursday that the deployment of the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense system (THAAD) was moving ahead smoothly, Reuters has reported citing the South Korean presidential office.
South Korea's presidential national security adviser, Kim Kwan-jin, and his US counterpart, H.R. McMaster, also agreed to take punitive measures in the event of additional provocation by the DPRK, including new UN Security Council sanctions, the office said.
