Myanmar's military said more bodies have been found after a military plane carrying 122 people crashed into the Andaman Sea last Wednesday, bringing the total number of confirmed casualties to 83, according to Reuters.
The military plane carried 108 passengers and 14 crew members, and left the southern coastal town of Myeik early on Wednesday afternoon bound for Myanmar's largest city, Yangon. It lost contact at 1:35 p.m. local time Wednesday when it was southwest of the town of Dawei.

The cause of the incident is still under investigation, but bad weather is believed to be have been a factor. Commander-in-Chief of Myanmar's army Min Aung Hlaing said on Sunday that there was "a very big cloud" near the plane crash site.
The aircraft, with the registration number Y8F200W, was delivered to Myanmar Air Force by the China National Aero-Technology Import and Export Corporation in March 2016, according to the company.
