The daughter of Choi Soon-sil, the confidante of former South Korean president Park Geun-hye, will be extradited from Denmark on Tuesday, Yonhap News Agency reported on Monday.
Chung Yoo-ra was arrested in Denmark in January for illegal stay. Her mother was a central figure in the huge corruption scandal which led to Park's removal from office in March, 2017.
The 21-year-old has booked a flight leaving Copenhagen on Tuesday, and will arrive in Seoul on Wednesday.
Chung is wanted by South Korean prosecutors on suspicion of taking advantage of her mother’s relationship with Park to win special treatment from Seoul’s prestigious Ewha Womans University.
Chung is expected to be arrested immediately on arrival with a pre-issued warrant, and taken in for questioning, said the report.
