Xi-Trump meeting: Beijing willing to 'expand cooperation on all levels'

‍China is willing to expand cooperation with US at all levels, Vice Foreign Minister Zheng Zeguang said at a briefing on Friday ahead of President Xi Jinping’s first meeting with US President Donald Trump.
Beijing will have in-depth exchanges of views to boost mutual understanding, with the two leaders having already had two conversations over the phone, Zheng said.
Zheng also said that China does not seek a trade surplus with the United States amid concerns over trade relations between the world's top two economies.
Chinese President Xi Jinping will pay a state visit to Finland from April 4 to 6, and will then go on to meet with President Trump at Mar-a-Lago, Florida in the US from April 6 to 7, Foreign Ministry spokesman Lu Kang announced at a daily press briefing on Thursday.
White House on Xi-Trump meeting
Talking about the upcoming visit the White House said on Thursday US President Donald Trump looks forward to meeting with President Xi to chart a way forward on China-US relationship.
"The president looks forward to meeting with President Xi and exchanging views on each other's respective priorities, and to chart a way forward on a bilateral relationship between our two nations," White House spokesman Sean Spicer told a news briefing.
Spicer also said the two sides have reached a final agreement on agenda of the Xi-Trump summit after several weeks of discussions. He said the meeting will be an opportunity for Trump "to develop a relationship in person with President Xi." 
‍Donald Trump has also been tweeting about the upcoming meeting writing: ""The meeting next week with China will be a very difficult one in that we can no longer have massive trade deficits... and job losses, American companies must be prepared to look at other alternatives.”
