Saudi Arabia and several other Arab nations at the heart of a diplomatic row have demanded Doha to shut down broadcaster Al Jazeera, cut diplomatic ties with Iran and close the Turkish military base in the country among other exorbitant demands in order to restore ties with it, the Associated Press reported on Friday.
Doha was given 10 days to comply with the requests. They were handed by Kuwait, which is acting as a mediator.
The 13-point list also asks Qatar to end military cooperation with Turkey – a NATO member, sever alleged ties with Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood, Lebanon's Hezbollah, al-Qaida and ISIL, and pay an unspecified sum of money as compensation.
Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt cut diplomatic relations and transport links with Qatar early this month, accusing it of financing terrorism and destabilizing the region – allegations Doha has vehemently denied.
The list also orders Doha to refrain from naturalizing citizens from those four countries, expel those currently on its territory and extradite all individuals wanted by them for terrorism.
Earlier this week, US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson called on Saudi Arabia and the other three countries to draw up a list of demands that is "reasonable and actionable."
Doha is yet to comment on the conditions set by the four countries to end the diplomatic crisis.
