Continuous heavy rain caused flooding in six cities and 38 counties of southern China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. As of 15:00 Wednesday, more than 590,000 people had been affected, with 17 dead and nine missing. Other regions of southern China also suffered from heavy rain.
