Chinese Vice President Wang Qishan will attend and deliver a speech at the opening ceremony of the eighth World Peace Forum to be held in Beijing on Monday and Tuesday, and Brexit campaigner Boris Johnson and Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt will hold TV debate in the race to become next British prime minister.

Chinese Vice President Wang Qishan will attend and deliver a speech at the opening ceremony of the eighth World Peace Forum, which will be held on July 8 and 9 in Beijing. 

Organized by Tsinghua University in partnership with the Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs, the forum is a high-level non-governmental seminar focusing on international security topics.

As the contest to be the next UK's prime minister was down to the final two, Boris Johnson and Jeremy Hunt are set to face each other at a TV debate on July 9. 

Johnson is still the standout favorite among the bookmakers, so is the result now a foregone conclusion?

Friday and Saturday: Two quiet days in politics. 

Sunday: France marks Bastille Day, the common name given in English-speaking countries to the French National Day.
