As public awareness increases, many people who used to make a living hunting animals have become protectors of wildlife deep in the mountains.
They strive to maintain biodiversity and keep the balance between man and nature.
About CGTN Nature
In the Bawangling Series, we are going to unfold the secret life of Hainan black-crested gibbon, one of man's closest relatives living in the Bawangling National Nature Reserve, China's southern island province of Hainan. The number of the Hainan black-crested gibbons has decreased mainly in the 1970s due to habitat loss. With a population of merely 29, the tropical rainforest of Bawangling National Nature Reserve is their only habitat.
