Fanjing primrose, or Primula fangingensis, is endemic to Mount Fanjing in southwest China's Guizhou Province. Primrose means "to inform the arrival of spring" in Chinese. These tiny flowers can survive harsh conditions at over 2,000 meters above sea level on Mount Fanjing, the highest peak in the Wuling Mountains.
