Beijing Daxing International Airport was a hot destination during this year's National Day holiday, with crowds of visitors flocking to the newly opened airport to take the perfect snap for their WeChat Moments.
According to a statement from the airport, the number of checked-in passengers in the airport on October 3 was 4,513, while the number of tourists exceeded 100,000 – a ratio of nearly 23:1.
Outbound passengers at the airport hit 5,667 the day before, with a total of around 85,000 people entering the terminal.

Many visitors traveled from far just to have a look at the airport's striking architecture and beautiful artwork. Some who could have flown from the nearer Beijing Capital International Airport made a detour to see the new airport.
The airport added staff members to ensure the safety of passengers and also released its travel tips recommending passengers to plan ahead to avoid traffic around the holiday.
With its grand opening on September 25, Beijing Daxing International Airport is expected to become one of the world's busiest and most advanced airports with its cutting-edge technology and intelligent services.
It also aims to provide visitors with transformational travel experiences as well as shortened wait times.
