While criticizing the way CPC leads China, Pompeo also warned Germany about using the Chinese telecom giant Huawei Technology to build its fifth-generation data network (5G).
On Monday, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang urged Pompeo to get over his "Cold-War mentality," stop babbling anti-China sayings and do something that matches up with his title.
Over the past 70 years since the founding of People's Republic of China, historical progress has been made under the leadership of the CPC, stressed Geng, adding that that leadership is the choice of the people and has proven effective through time.
Any scheme that aims to serve its own political conspiracy is doomed to be failed, he said.
