With the fast growing number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the U.S., concerns have been raised over gaps in information from federal and state agencies.

In response, a group of overseas Chinese in the U.S. have built a real-time coronavirus tracker for the U.S. and Canada. Online portal 1Point3Acres has received millions of visits and is still working on bringing more transparency to the public.

He Sixuan, a volunteer with the website, shared what she thinks of the pandemic and how she thinks timely and accurate information will be important in defeating it.

A U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention official contacted 1Point3Acres on Saturday to work together in updating data in a timely manner, saying "(We) use it daily and have found it to be very reliable and current resource."
