The Eurasian lynx is one of the four species of the cat family that lives in Changbai Mountain; the other three are Serbian tiger, Amur leopard and leopard cat. The lynx is smaller than a leopard, with a short or bobbed tail.

A solitary cat, the lynx, is covered with beautiful thick fur, which keeps it warm during the long and cold winter of northern China. With tufted ears, the wild cat is an experienced hunter. Its diet varies from small pika and squirrels to medium-sized roe deer.

Journal of Changbai Mountain Species

Changbai Mountain in northeast China is a major mountain range in Northeast Asia. Volcano, glacier, and primitive forest have provided an ideal harbor for countless flora and fauna. To better protect wildlife, Changbai Mountain Nature Conservation Management Center has settled many infrared cameras in the mountains. From its footage, we can learn more about the secret life of species living there in the Journal of Changbai Mountain Species.
