This year's fair will be held against the backdrop of the coronavirus pandemic, which has severely disrupted trade in services sectors like tourism, transport and education. On the other hand, the crisis has accelerated the growth of online services as businesses reduce physical presence in combating the virus.
The World Trade Organization has emphasized the critical role of services trade in the global economic recovery as it connects supply chains and facilitates trade in goods.
The 2020 event is expecting more than 2,000 domestic and foreign companies showcasing their products and services in Beijing.
