The complex terrain in the Gaoligong Mountains provides Phayre's leaf monkeys with a natural sanctuary, and an unlimited food supply of abundant plant species.

Running from southwest China's Qinghai-Tibet Plateau all the way to the Indochina Peninsula, the Gaoligong Mountains form magnificent massifs over 600 kilometers. It has become one of the most biodiverse areas on the planet.
