City of Wild: Mandarin ducks enjoy winter in Beijing

Mandarin ducks are medium-sized ducks that are native to East Asia. They are regarded as a symbol of love in China and are often found in ancient Chinese literature and myths. The adult male has really colorful plumage, with a red bill, reddish face and two large orange feathers which look like sails. Mandarin ducks are adored by many people and commonly seen in various lakes in Beijing.
