As more international delegations and officials take trips to Xinjiang to see the region for themselves, it's becoming clearer that many Western politicians and media have deliberately overlooked the economic, social and cultural rights Chinese ethnic minorities enjoy in the region. The firsthand experiences in Xinjiang among diplomats from abroad have shed new light on the ongoing topic of human rights.
