While autonomous delivery methods are seeing move forward, most deliveries in China still rely on manpower. In 2021, the COVID-19 epidemic boosted online shopping in China, but tens of thousands of delivery workers have not benefited from the boom. Experts say that's mainly because of the surging demand which is driving vicious competition.
