Colorful cornflowers bloom in sunshine

Cornflowers love sunshine. They grow best in sunny spots and soils enriched with organic matter. The flowers are extremely colorful, which attract bees and butterflies, and other pollinating insects. Cornflowers are common ornamental plants with many colors, including blue, pink, purple, and white. Dried cornflowers are edible, and their petals can be used as garnishes in salads and desserts.

Here are some photos of cornflowers blooming in Beijing International Flower Port, a flower farm that hosts horticultural exhibitions and flower fairs.
