The Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) announced on Friday the women's and 3x3 basketball national teams that will participate in the coming Tokyo Olympic Games.
The Chinese men's basketball national team lost to Greece team on Thursday, denying a berth in Tokyo Olympics.
The 12 players named for the women's team are Pan Zhenqi, Wu Tongtong, Li Meng, Li Yuan, Wang Siyu, Sun Mengran, Huang Sijing, Li Yueru, Yang Liwei, Shao Ting, Zhang Ru and Han Xu.
Compared with the roster for the Olympic qualifiers in the Serbian capital of Belgrade in February last year, Pan is the only newcomer, replacing Gao Song.
China will in Group C face Australia, Puerto Rico and Belgium, and the first encounter will be against Puerto Rico on July 27.
It will be the ninth Olympic appearance for China, whose best result is runner-up in 1992.

The women's 3X3 basketball team consists of Zhang Zhiting, Wan Jiyuan, Yang Shuyu and Wang Lili, with Wang Haimei and Li Yingyun as replacements. Team China won the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) 3X3 World Cup in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, in June 2019.
The men's side includes Hu Jinqiu and Gao Shiyan, both having recently grown to prominence in the Chinese Basketball Association league, with Li Haonan, Yan Peng, Chen Peidong and Liu Hengyi as replacements.
As a new event to the Olympic program starting from the Tokyo, 3x3 basketball features eight teams, for both men's and women's competitions.
