In 2020, Li Xiaoxiao graduated from forestry school and joined his father's Afforestation Cooperative in Linxian County, north China's Shanxi Province. The first afforestation project he worked on was the same one his father worked on back then — the transformation of barren hills in the Yanhuang area. Drought is the major natural disaster for afforestation in Linxian County, while Li has managed to cover the stone mountains with trees by using new technology he learned from school and the experience he gained from his father.
