The forest musk deer breeding base in Ningshan County, northwest China's Shaanxi Province, has lifted 85 poor households out of poverty, and Gan Yuanqin's family is one of them. Earlier, Gan didn't have enough money to take care of a family of patients and support her children's schooling. By raising forest musk deer, Gan's life has changed.
