For thousands of years, the Chinese people have been exploring the universe. Continuing the work of their predecessors, they've made immense efforts in space exploration. On April 24, 1970, a Long March-1 rocket carried the Dongfanghong-1 space satellite into orbit, marking a huge step in aerospace development for the People's Republic of China.
