Iraqi expert: Anti-terrorism onus on Iraqi leaders as domestic development paralyzed

When asked about whether Iraq alone can fight against radical groups like the Islamic State, Shivan Fazil, an expert at the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, says the onus is on Iraqi leaders and they need to get it right. He says the political paralysis following an early election went on for over a year and almost brought the country to the brink of civil war. He believes the needs of Iraqis have taken a step back due to socio-economic conditions.
