In early summer, the verdant carpet spreads all over Hulunbuir in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Wherever the sheep linger, there are lively games. Species including the young Corsac foxes and marmots are enjoying their own games on this big playground.
About 'Journeys in Nature': Eastern Inner Mongolia Series
Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is located in the north of China, with a total area of 664,900 square kilometers, adjacent to three northeastern provinces — Heilongjiang, Liaoning and Jilin, and bordering Russia and Mongolia in the north. In this series, we embark on a journey through the Hulunbuir Grassland, Xilingol Grassland, primeval forests and wetlands to see the creatures living there.
