'We Talk': Belt and Road Initiative has opened numerous opportunities for Tajikistan

The China-Central Asia Summit was held on May 18 and 19 in Xi'an, capital of northwest China's Shaanxi Province. Chinese President Xi Jinping hosted the summit and discussed cooperation plans with the leaders of five Central Asian countries.

Javohir, who is from Tajikistan, is an international student at Tsinghua University. Back in high school, he was attracted to Chinese culture. In this video, he shares his China story and his views on the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

Javohir says that the BRI has brought numerous opportunities to Tajikistan, including improved infrastructure, easier travel and goods transportation, and more job opportunities. He hopes to be a bridge between Tajikistan and China, promoting more business as well as academic and cultural exchanges.
