South Africa: The charm of the 'plant kingdom'

South Africa is located at the southernmost tip of the African continent, bordered by the Indian Ocean to the east and the Atlantic Ocean to the west, surrounded by both oceans. The region of South Africa includes countries like the Republic of South Africa, Angola, Zambia and Mozambique. The diverse climate types in South Africa, including tropical savanna climate and Mediterranean climate, have had a profound impact on the distribution of flora and fauna in the area.

South Africa is renowned as one of the world's famous plant kingdoms, with over 18,000 species of plants, many of which are unique to the region. The flora in South Africa is predominantly coniferous, and the region is also rich in succulent plant resources.

The Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) is a collective dialogue mechanism between China and African countries.
