South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol was arrested from his presidential residence on Wednesday, becoming the country's first sitting president to be taken into custody over his short-lived imposition of martial law. A large crowd of South Koreans gathered near the constitutional court to voice their demands for reform.

CGTN Stringer interviewed two Korean residents in Seoul about their views on Yoon's arrest and expectations for the country's future. Both expressed the belief that the final ruling would lead to president's removal from office. One resident noted that the event has caused significant negative impact across various aspects, and expressed hope that things would settle quickly.
