Women continue to play a major role in China's labor market, according to the official statistics. Employment and education data show strong female participation across sectors, underscoring women's growing contribution to economic and social development.
Female employment reached 320 million women in 2024, accounting for 43.4 percent of total employment, while women made up over half of higher-education students.
